The recently conducted Education Services compensation study provides key compensation practices, average base salaries, and variable pay components, for many of the professional and management roles in the ES function. More importantly however, the study reveals how current staffing practices maintain the status quo at a time when the ES organization needs to reinvent itself.
For years, a delivery intensive staffing model has been de rigueur. For numerous reasons, this model will not support the ES organization of the future. A fundamental shift in the capabilities required for education organizations to be successful means the introduction of new roles and positions, and increasing investment in others.
