In the past, learning online usually involved a static document that mainly contained text. Today, online learning has become much more engaging and enjoyable, with content that is brief, to the point and focused, enabling learners to more easily absorb what they've learned. A key element for driving an improved digital learning experience, and by consequence, improved learner engagement, is "social " activity. Social learning helps to overcome a lack of access to experts and peers, a common complaint expressed by online learners of the past. Social learning provides an engaging learning experience, while being a core element of guided, continuous learning. This session will discuss how SAP's use of social and collaborative learning has significantly impacted value drivers like learner satisfaction and motivation. Additionally, SAP will demonstrate that increased social activity leads to increased overall consumption of digital learning content.
