Many companies are eager to participate in the “Internet of things,” starting with the implementation of remote monitoring and proactive support. However, using the data captured to improve customer outcomes and increase profitability has eluded many. Part of the issue is that “remote” is an umbrella term that covers a progression that includes monitoring, data analytics, predictive maintenance, proactive support, remote resolve, and optimizing end-user outcomes. Understanding and defining the progression, as well identifying objectives and the return on investment for each step, is critical. Learning how successful companies have implemented and properly priced proactive support technologies across the entire progression can help you take your organization to the next level.
