With virtual reality, completely new dimensions of education and training can be developed, which even grow further by the utilization of augmented reality. In service departments these opportunities can be deployed for imparting knowledge, especially since companies have to encounter a rising number of product variants and necessary information within their internal organization on one hand, and on the other hand more and more academies are established by manufacturing companies in order to offer specific knowledge to their customers and thus establish a profitable new field of service. The use of augmented reality provides a way to convey know-how in a practical and demonstrative way.
