Kevin Bowers is the director of field services research for TSIA. In this role, he works closely with member companies to deliver research and advisory programs focused on helping them optimize field service delivery and engineer profitable customer outcomes.
Prior to joining TSIA, Kevin held various senior leadership roles at DMG MORI USA, the largest global machine tool company in the industrial OEM marketplace. Throughout his 20-year career, he has held executive positions in sales operations, service, spare parts, training. Kevin transitioned his last company from a distribution to a direct service model, implemented global spare parts initiatives, and launched an apprentice program for their field service engineers. He has the practical experience to help OEM’s move through the digital transformation maturity model.
Kevin is fluent in Japanese, holds a degree in East Asian Languages and Culture from the University of Illinois, and has lived and worked in Japan for several years. He also sits on the board of directors for NIMS (National Institute for Metalworking Skills).
