Job Description

This is an entry level position focused on the high technology sector that provides for a long-term career in consultative technology sales.

The Technology Services Industry Association (TSIA) is a for profit membership organization that helps technology and services organizations both large and small grow and advance by providing the world’s largest vault of non-public services data, an exceptional peer networking community and enables companies to achieve unparalleled business outcomes. The TSIA Technology Services World (TSW) conference, held twice a year, is the largest services technology conference in the world hosting over 3,000 service executives. As the technology marketplace evolves, TSIA is at the forefront of research on topics such as IOT, SaaS, Cloud Solutions, and the overall evolution of software and services.

Scope of Responsibilities

The TSIA sales analyst, membership development is responsible for researching target companies to identify specific decision makers and key executives who are responsible and accountable for service lines of business. This position will be focused on creating campaign lists, analyzing companies, sourcing key contacts, understanding the business hierarchy of organizations, analyzing new markets and data entry in our CRM system.

In this role, you will also build the necessary skills to position yourself for a career in sales. Through our training, we will help you learn sales methodologies, sales tactics, call strategies, and use role-play tactics so that you can eventually take the next step into a quota carrying sales position. You will also learn the latest technology trends that are driving new business models in technology, specifically around software. You will learn how to effectively use business prospecting tools and the latest technology that serves the new generation of sales professionals.

Experience and Skill Requirements

  • Basic understanding of business tools like Salesforce.com, LinkedIn, Microsoft Office, Hoovers and internet search engines are desired
  • A basic understanding of selling and the sales process to include strong listening skills
  • Exceptional writing skills, strong oral communication
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a team player critical
  • 1-3 years’ experience in sales related role preferred (sales internships considered)
  • BA or BS degree, MBA preferred
