In 2015, Keysight Technologies, the electronics industry’s leading design and test equipment company began its transformation from an equipment supplier to a solutions and software company. Higher degrees of electronics industry technology complexity, for 5G, IoT, Automotive Electronics drove market demand for new integrated test solutions. Concurrently, Keysight Services needed to create a new set of complementary services. Keysight’s Global Services Organization had the challenge to expand from offering traditional hardware-centric services to providing a portfolio of services ranging from traditional equipment support services, software subscriptions, asset management services and differentiated services designed to help our customers achieve their business outcomes. Keysight will share some of the early learnings on its journey to transform from an equipment supplier, where services were incidental to the product purchase to a solutions company offering a portfolio of differentiated, entitled support services.
