Driven by technological developments such as the Internet of Things, manufacturing industries are facing structural changes in their value creation systems and networks. Based on examples from different industries, this presentation will demonstrate the opportunities created by this development, often referred to as “Industry 4.0,” as well as how it can be exploited by developing innovative services systematically. Also discussed will be how service innovations are affecting business models of traditional manufacturing companies and transforming them into service providers and service platform integrators.

In addition, Mr. Ganz will present the German initiative “Smart Service Welt,” which consists of representatives from industry and science, and addresses the development of Internet-based services and business models in the realm of Industry 4.0. An outlook of future developments will be shared as well as resulting needs for action.

TSIA is well worth the investment. This is the one place where you can come and get a fusion of ideas that you can then marry up to the goals and objectives of your organization and boil that down into several actionable plans that you can implement over the next 6 months to a year.
