Everyday we see the term "Millenial" and invariably a description of the expectations and work ethic of said generation is soon to follow. My goal is to dispel the myth of these types of generational stereotypes and demonstrate that managing across generational gaps is just an extension of good management practices. A manager must understand what interests and drives an employee both from a day to day and a career aspect. This presentation will cover some real-world examples from the speaker's experience as well as incorporating the different generalizations (both functional and technical) of this demographic to hopefully help the audience understand how to best work with and manage the latest employees in our technical workforce.
