A relatively early software-as-a-service company (2001), community and social media management (SMM) company Lithium has always leveraged their data to better understand customers. Three years ago, Lithium built an internal tools called Signals to put that data in the hands of account executives, success managers, and product managers, not just the wonks in consulting. Today that data helps with everything from assessing performance to identifying opportunities for sales. Joe Cothrel, who helped develop Signals, will also talk about how Lithium helps customers tease sales opportunities out of the social data that comes from Lithium's community and SMM platforms.
