As a critical business partner, Cisco’s customers and other third parties entrust us with access to vital technology, information assets, infrastructure, as well as sensitive customer and vendor data. They authorize the gathering of this data to help architect, build, and manage their communication and network infrastructure, and provide professional services and technical support. At Cisco, we take responsibility for protecting, securing, and controlling access to that data. Some of this information is highly sensitive, and it is our responsibility to provide confidence that it is appropriately protected and managed. This session will explore the challenges of collecting customer and partner data, and the traditional thought process before this permission is granted. It will also touch on the people, process, and technology that Cisco uses to protect our customers' data.
