The telecommunications industry has gone through a significant change during the last decades from monopolistic fixed voice business to highly-competitive mobile business driven by data explosion and diverse OTT applications. At the same time system, vendors’ services to telecommunications operators has changed from limited support business to a differentiator and business driver, partly driven by changes in technology, business models and dynamics in the industry. In the future, these changes will further drive the transformation of the business, from portfolio to delivery model and capabilities.

Over the years NSN has gradually changed its service portfolio to better meet the customers’ requirements, started significant changes in the delivery model, and adapted the capabilities to meet the required changes. In most cases this has happened gradually over the years, in some instances also through mergers and acquisitions, and once recently through restructuring. Planning and managing such a change has required extensive planning, but especially hands-on change management to ensure eliminating any negative impact on customers, achieving the desired business benefits – and winning employees’ hearts and minds to execute the change. The transformation NSN has gone through will be presented through several examples over the years, including learnings and best practices derived from experience.

TSIA is well worth the investment. This is the one place where you can come and get a fusion of ideas that you can then marry up to the goals and objectives of your organization and boil that down into several actionable plans that you can implement over the next 6 months to a year.
