Professional services teams are increasingly relying upon a delivery partner ecosystem to expand capacity and capability for implementing technology and solutions. There are a number of common challenges to be considered when building out the partner ecosystem. The first is to develop an internal alignment on the depth/breadth/scale/ownership of the program, and who’s going to pay for it. The second challenge is to identify and develop a go-to-market plan that benefits all stakeholders (vendor, customer, partner) and to establish effective rules of engagement. A third challenge is with developing a comprehensive training, enablement, and knowledge sharing program to maintain capable resources for project delivery. And finally, there is a need to have a sound governance process for measuring success for all of the stakeholders.
