The STAR Awards for Spring 2012 recognize companies that have developed and implemented the most innovative and efficient processes for service and support delivery. Companies seeking this award must submit applications for a rigorous review by a select industry committee, providing specific baseline data, detailed process descriptions, performance metrics, returns and benefits, and other information about what makes their achievement noteworthy.

There are four basic steps in applying for a TSIA STAR Award:
- Step 1—Nominate your company
- Step 2—Complete your application and submit to TSIA for review
- Step 3—Submit your final application
- Step 4—Receive finalist status notification from TSIA

- November 10, 2011: Call for nominations
- January 9, 2012: Nominations closed for Spring 2012
- Thursday, February 9, 2012, 11:59 pm (PT): Closing date for submitting applications:
- April 16, 2012: Finalists notified during this week
- May 9, 2012: Awards Luncheon at the Technology Services World (TSW) Conference, Santa Clara
