TSIA runs Quick Poll surveys on hot topics and reports the findings back to poll respondents. This Quick Poll was focused on two objectives: (1) Understand which product/adoption characteristics correlate to better churn and renewal rates, and (2) analyze churn rates and renewal rates by SaaS product category.

The product/adoption characteristics we tested on were:

  • Whether the SaaS application is standalone or integrated with other software.
  • How dependent end users are on the SaaS app, measured by login frequency.
  • How complex the SaaS application is for end users.
  • How long the SaaS application has been in the market as an indicator of product development maturity.
