Product experts are everywhere, so why not leverage resources internal and external to the company to help maintain existing content and/or produce new content? Those using the product are much more knowledgeable about that product than a content developer who never uses it. Why not capitalize on this expertise via crowdsourcing? This research will define practices for crowdsourcing and what companies are doing to manage quality, ensure that originators of content are given "credit" for their contribution, and how this vital pool of crowdsourced resources can be integrated into the content development process.
