The premise of this research paper is that the by-product of certification is improved product usage and consumption. An individual does not seek certification with increased product usage being the objective. Certification is typically pursued to validate a skill set and competency level, however, it stands to reason that if one person has a higher level of competency than another, then there would be a greater likelihood that product usage would increase.
