GENEVA, Switzerland, November 8, 2010 — HP has earned the Excellence in Service Operations certification from the Technology Services Industry Association (TSIA) for providing superior technical support and services for personal computers and printers in Europe, Middle East and Africa.
HP remains the sole PC manufacturer to receive this coveted industry recognition in 2010, which comprises a comprehensive evaluation of phone, field service and web service operations for customers.
“HP demonstrated determination and focus in delivering excellent support of their customers”, said Joanne Weigel, senior director, Organizational Certification Programs, TSIA. “Most notable was a sensitivity to the regional differences of customers and employees in EMEA.”
Auditors from TSIA closely review management policies and procedures. HP support operations were compared against nearly 300 industry best practices, including executive commitment, talent management, support tools and technology, and operational metrics. Seasoned auditors with more than 20 years of experience as service executives conducted the rigorous onsite audit process.
“In our region we provide online, phone and repair assistance for customers in 26 languages, across 128 countries. We are continually investing in customer support, making it easier and quicker so our customers can get the most out of their HP products,” says Joan Cañigueral, Vice President, IPG EMEA Customer Support Operations. This certification means HP customers can purchase PCs and printers with the confidence that they are not only receiving quality products, but also quality support.
This is the first year HP has been audited by TSIA in the EMEA region, however, HP has been awarded the TSIA Excellence in Service Operations certification for the second consecutive year for North America consumer PCs and Printers services and for the third consecutive year for its North America commercial notebook and PC support. The expansion of the audit to the EMEA region demonstrates HP’s support and commitment to its customers on a global scale.
