Job Description

The primary functions of the Research Executive role are to support the research and membership activities related to the Customer Success discipline. The Research Executive will work with the research lead to provide analysis and insight to TSIA members based on TSIA datasets and frameworks. She or He will also assist with research studies and will become an expert in the data that TSIA aggregates across the industry, along with key trends that are presenting themselves in these data sets.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Coordinate activities between Sales, Research delivery resources, TSIA Finance, and the customer during the project lifecycle.
  • Track activities, resources and project activities from inception through successful completion.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the lifecycle of the project for any questions, concerns or requests.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, through formal and informal change management processes.
  • Track and report status internally and to clients throughout the project life cycle.
  • Coordinate activities across the project team and the customer and identify when additional resources are needed.
  • Identify, analyze, escalate or problem solve when project risks occur.


The ideal candidate will have experience managing multiple projects and working with a dynamic and fluid team.  Projects will primarily involve large Fortune 500 companies and span 3-12 months. The candidate will be well rounded, with the ability to relate to and work closely with a small group of internal team members, customers, and company executives.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
  • Minimum 3-7 years of experience in project management.
  • Experience should include working in a small entrepreneurial environment.
  • A thorough understanding and of project management principles with strong customer facing skills.
  • Experience in working in a Services organization (e.g. technical support, customer service, service sales, etc.).
  • Ability to quickly develop mastery of the TSIA content and programs while working closely with clients.
  • Ability to monitor progress toward critical deadlines, and mobilize when a deadline is in jeopardy.
  • Ability to understand and work well with a culturally diverse customer base.
  • Analytical approach to problem solving while driving to results with a diplomatic customer sensitive touch.
  • Ability to function, adapt and excel in a less-structured, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in managing technical support or professional services projects is desirable but not required.
  • Positive attitude, professional demeanor and values.
  • Computer fluency - PC based windows applications including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
