Senior Product Marketing Manager Research and Advisory Portfolio

You’ll work directly with the head of Product Management on productizing the next generation of TSIA’s research and advisory, leveraging new technologies and innovating product marketing to expand our offerings and ultimately better serve our customers.

Location

Remote. Option to work from San Diego office at our company headquarters or in Los Gatos at our secondary office.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the customers and markets we serve
  • Be the subject matter expert for the products/services you own across the customer lifecycle and the tools used to optimize and analyze their success
  • Conduct internal and external interviews, compile feedback, and develop the roadmap and requirements to solve the biggest needs of our customers
  • Collaborate with product managers to develop personas for user segments
  • Assist in the new ways to productize research and advisory through people, process and technology including ideation, planning, quality assurance, and go-to-market
  • Be the resident product expert and evangelist for owned initiatives including internal team/customer training and adoption of new updates
  • Model customer empathy and uncover insights in order to drive clarity on the best opportunities and competitive differentiation for our offerings
  • Develop messaging and positioning for owned products
  • Conduct primary and secondary research to identify business opportunities, reduce risk and inform strategic modeling (SWOT, Competitive Analysis, Market Segmentation, etc.)
  • Coordinate weekly meetings across teams and hold them accountable/on task
  • Collaborate with research executives, analysts, engineers, and marketers to define, plan, schedule, prioritize backlogs/tasks—applying creative and strategic thinking, along with technical and project management skills to satisfy project requirements
  • Streamline the product lifecycle of research and advisory services using third party tools
  • Participate in the testing of new digital solutions that impact the products you own
  • Maintain a data driven approach to optimizing the creation and success of products and services including developing and reporting on success metrics using third party tools
  • Cultivate interest and awareness of trends and best practices as related to the product marketing process and technology

 

Your Qualifications

  • 5+ years working in enterprise technology or environment in product management, marketing, business development, and/or strategy 
  • Strong understanding of technology services used in the delivery of software and/or hardware
  • Experience in product lifecycle management in the context of both technology and services
  • Deep customer empathy and curiosity
  • Experience managing products from concept to a successful go-to-market 
  • Experience defining requirements for product releases
  • Natural collaborator who partners with cross functional teams to define, build, and maintain products which are critical to growth, engagement, and retention
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to distill complexity and articulate value
  • Able to communicate clearly to diverse audiences with varying methodologies (Whiteboard, presentations, diagrams etc.)
  • Attention to detail
  • Passionate about solving problems
  • Strong analytical skills paired with a need to validate your instincts with data
  • Great track record with cross functional teams—technical, creative, operational team members want to work with you again
  • Self-starter, always looking to find ways to improve
  • Strong understanding of the product lifecycle
  • Thorough knowledge of leading operating systems (macOS/Windows) and office tools (word processing, spreadsheets, presentations) including Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms and/or Office 365
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, etc.
  • Experience working in a startup environment (Product Management operates like a startup within a stable and profitable company)
