Job Description: Sr. Project Manager, Project Manager 2

The TSIA Project Manager manages and owns successful delivery of TSIA Strategic Services Projects (Capability Assessments, Workshops and other engagements within the TSIA Strategic Services organization) and the TSIA Support Certification Projects. The Project Manager will oversee & manage multiple projects for our largest clients specializing in Technology Services. The Project Manager must have strong customer facing skills as well as attention to detail, process management, and the ability to arbitrate tradeoffs in managing scope and project complexity. 

Specific Responsibilities

Strategic Services Project Management (50%)

  • Coordinate activities between Sales, Research delivery resources, TSIA Finance, and the customer during the project lifecycle.
  • Track activities, resources and project activities from inception through successful completion.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the lifecycle of the project for any questions, concerns or requests.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, through formal and informal change management processes.
  • Track and report status internally and to clients throughout the project life cycle.
  • Coordinate activities across the project team and the customer and identify when additional resources are needed.
  • Identify, analyze, escalate or problem solve when project risks occur.

Support Services Certification Project Management (50%)

  • Manage the customer through understanding and preparing to address the TSIA Customer Support best practices content, create deliverables for the on-site audits, edit final reports and other content deliverables.
  • Guide the client in understanding the TSIA Customer Support best practices as they apply to the customer's environment, provide insight if gaps are identified.
  • Direct work of auditors and others assigned to the program.
  • Participate in on-site audits (both in North America and across the globe) as necessary managing the auditors, the customer expectations and the deliverables.
  • Work with TSIA marketing to create and update TSIA content for certified companies – Web content for certified companies, certified customer deliverables (logo's, press releases, marketing messages) and approval of customer marketing using TSIA brands

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have experience managing multiple projects and working with a dynamic and fluid team. Projects will primarily involve large Fortune 500 companies and span 3-12 months. The candidate will be well rounded, with the ability to relate to and work closely with a small group of internal team members, customers, and company executives.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
  • Minimum 3-7 years of experience in project management.
  • Experience should include working in a small entrepreneurial environment.
  • A thorough understanding and of project management principles with strong customer facing skills.
  • Experience in working in a Support organization
  • Ability to quickly develop mastery of the TSIA content and programs while working closely with clients.
  • Ability to monitor progress toward critical deadlines and mobilize when a deadline is in jeopardy.
  • Ability to understand and work well with a culturally diverse customer base.
  • Analytical approach to problem solving while driving to results with a diplomatic customer sensitive touch.
  • Ability to function, adapt and excel in a less-structured, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in managing technical support projects is desirable but not required.

Expected Travel Requirements:

  • 25% - 35% Travel. Passport required for International travel.
