Thank you, Wilhelm, for this important observation.

The XaaS Product Management research practice is focused on the needs of product management that are offering their technology as a service, i.e. on a subscription basis. As the stewards of revenue growth and profitability, Product Management plays a unique and important role in driving company strategy and profitable offerings.

Our research shows that today, approx. 30% of companies have a services product management function designed to align the go to market for service offerings across PS, customer success, support services, etc..
TSIA’s research practice “Service Revenue Generation”, headed up by Julia Stegman, address the needs of these services product management functions very directly.

Additionally we are seeing a few early indicators of alignments and convergence of technology product management and services product management there companies are seeking to strategically factor services in their complete portfolio design.
We continue to watch the rise of services and service convergence trends.

Don’t hesitate to contact us for a briefing on either or both research practice areas to understand how your company can benefit.

You speak about XaaS product management only whereas product management functions for service offerings are rarely existing especially outside the software and it industry. So it would be worthwhile to research service product management as such, also for other service disciplines in TSIA's spectrum.
