Industry transformation is having a significant impact on professional services in a variety of different ways. This part of the summit will provide an introduction to current trends and how they relate to professional services, establishing the overall context for all of the subsequent topics on the agenda. You will hear TSIA’s point of view on key industry trends impacting professional services and learn how TSIA members are being impacted by this industry transformation.
One of the most important impacts of industry transformation is the heightened importance of delivering customer outcomes and value, as well as minimizing customers’ time to value and outcome realization. This session goes over examples from the industry of how companies are designing outcome journeys for their customers that uses PS offers to improve their time to value.
Conventional wisdom about PS financial performance has often been conventional but not wise, meaning that it’s based on myths and bad information. Industry transformation is making it even more difficult to keep financial performance expectations moored to known benchmarks and standards. You’ll get to see actual benchmarks from TSIA’s vast collection of financial benchmark data to discover how your industry peers are navigating industry transformation in the context of professional services financial performance.

Organizational capabilities that technology services businesses must master
Tom Anderson, CMP, is the vice president of conferences and events for TSIA. In this role, he is responsible for coordinating the logistics and execution of Technology Services World conferences and other TSIA events. Throughout his extensive career, Tom has spearheaded the planning and execution of meetings and events worldwide for a wide variety of companies and clients, ranging from 50 to 5,000 attendees.
Recognized as a leader in the meeting and convention industry for over 35 years, Tom sits on the SPIN (Senior Planners Industry Network) Global Advisory Board, is a past president of Meeting Professionals International (MPI) San Diego Chapter, and has his Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) accreditation.
