This is a quota carrying business development sales position focused on the high technology sector that provides for a long-term career in consultative technology sales.
The Technology Services Industry Association (TSIA) is a for profit membership organization that helps technology and services organizations both large and small grow and advance by providing the world’s largest vault of non-public services data, an exceptional peer networking community and enables companies to achieve unparalleled business outcomes. The TSIA Technology & Services World (TSW) conference, held twice a year, is the largest services technology conference in the world hosting over 3,000 service executives. As the technology marketplace evolves, TSIA is at the forefront of research on topics such as IOT, SaaS, Cloud Solutions, and the overall evolution of software and services.
The TSIA sales specialist is responsible for researching target companies to identify specific decision makers. A key component of this role is the ability to call into the executive suite and navigate across an organization, generating interest in TSIA’s services and securing initial executive meetings with qualified decision makers.
You will build the necessary strategic and analytic skills to call into medium to large accounts, focused on building a strong value proposition that culminates in superior results. Our approach is very strategic and analytic. You will also learn the latest technology trends that are driving new business models in technology, specifically around software. Our firm focuses on eight research practice areas for software services. You will also become expect in business prospecting tools and the latest technology that serves the new generation of sales professionals.
The sales specialist will also follow-up on MQL (marketing qualified leads) from inbound lead generation activities. The specialist primary responsibility is securing a meeting for the sales executive that then manages the opportunity to closure. Compensation is constructed of a competitive base pay plus variable compensation for meetings set that result in closed opportunities.
A successful sales specialist at TSIA must be able to speak confidently and write effectively, enabling a fluid conversation with senior executives. Persistence in driving towards a meeting objective will consist of both quantity and quality call and email engagement. The candidate will be part of a regional team that will require teamwork and fosters a can-do attitude. The learning curve is significant to fully understanding the technology and software landscape. This is an inside sales position with little to no travel required.
